My buddy and I have looked for a way to achieve this, and haven't
found it.

It doesn't seem like something that would be too difficult to pull
off. Maybe as part of TBE?

Speaking of Firefox and keyboard shortcuts, does anyone else have the
problem that, when multiple windows are open, keyboard shortcuts always
seem to act on the WRONG goddam window or tab? You have to remember to
select the window twice, especially if you don't want to close the wrong
window.
This is Firefox 0.9.3 on Debian Sarge. If it matters, the window
manager is fvwm 2.5.12.
